Celebrate with us!
Gifted Awareness Week 2020
What's it all about?
Gifted Awareness Week 2020 runs from 15-21 June, and this year our theme is: Wellbeing - a no limits approach!
Hapaitia te ara tika pumau ai te rangatiratanga mo nga uri whakatipu.
Foster the pathway of knowledge to strength, independence and growth for future generations.
The purpose of Gifted Awareness Week is to help grow awareness and to celebrate gifted people and the nature of giftedness with our wider communities. It is held in the week of Professor George Parkyn’s birth (17 June), as an acknowledgement of his impact on gifted education in New Zealand and his legacy as the first New Zealander to achieve international recognition in this field.
We hope you join in our activities, read, listen, compete and walk and reflect on how we can best support the gifted individuals in our communities.
